“Sometimes he can be anti-Semitic, sometimes he’s a Jew” lmao
A self-hating Jew?
@@jesusnthedaisychain like Adam Eget
@@aceofbastone He may hate himself, but if you're ever in Queens and you have $15 to spend, you can't beat his services. Quite the bargain!
@@jesusnthedaisychain it was actually one saying the first half, and the other saying the second. But your assessment still applies to at least one of them.
These guys are soul mates. I'm so envious of their relationship lol. What they have together is very very rare to find.
We have a lot of common interests and Willow is one of my pseudonyms. Add me on steam, lets make hip hop or some shit. "Willow Sidewise Gerrard" on steam
@@PEACEOUTPAT please shut up
@@RagingFireFart2000 it won't even let me see what I wrote to delete it, :( Im sorry for whatever I said probably, what did I say?
Trey is better than Matt tbh
What they have together can be found in most glory holes.
“matts my friend.” gets me everytime
When trey answered to "what's the nicest thing you can can about matt?" Saying "Matt's my friend... :)" Made the interview babyish but so fuckin hilarious lol
That could mean the world to him though.
When I can call somebody my friend it means a lot because I'm.. weird and hard to like so it takes guts to stay with me.
"If every single person liked everything we did....we'd be Shrek"
amazing
they're the funniest comedy duo of the last 25+ yrs
and they are still on point!
Damn right
Can’t believe they bought Casa Bonita, also signed a 900M deal for movies, seasons and a game!
Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice.
@@patstaysuckafreeboss8006 damn you give a huge argument. If they were still going strong you mite be rite.
Seriously… ALL I WANT.. in life. Is to hang out with these two for a day.
1000% agree
I'd love to meet them they are my fave
It would be extremely awkward.
"I wanna thank Trey."
"I wanna thank Matt." 🤣
Quentin Tarantino put Team America on his best 20 films made since 1992 in a 2009 interview. That’s some good praise right there.
they're literally stan and kyle it's so cute
"maybe we'll last a couple more years with the show...." 16 YEARS LATER still going strong! .....lol
Probably should quit now. Ever since the serialized episodes it's just been a slow downhill.
There always a negative comment about why the show sucks now under a positive comment about how long the show has been running.
@@jessehenderson2967 It’s a valid point, though. SP is my favorite show ever and nothing will change that, but you’re lying to yourself if you think the show is just as good as it was in the prime years (seasons 1-18). Their shift to focus almost ONLY on political/social stances is what really did them in IMO. The episodes simply aren’t funny anymore, especially the “season 24” abomination
@@dementiajoesmokesnewports6633 Hey, if it sells it sells. I ain't played a CoD game in ten years but i cant sit here and say its complete garbage and should end if people still buy it it in droves.
@@jessehenderson2967 I get your point, but CoD, unlike SP, learned from their mistakes (think of ghosts/infinity years) and actually made a respectable product again. If SP somehow made their show even WORSE, people will still watch because of the reputation it has. Like I said, it’s still the best show ever and I’ll continue to watch every single one, even the woke PC garbage of seasons 19 and beyond. I still have hope that Matt and Trey get tired of pushing their world view onto everyone through the show and just make it an entertaining product once again.
Watched quite a few interviews with these guys and they seem like genuinely nice guys. I find it hilarious that there are people who don't like them. If you end up in their sights you almost certainly deserve it.
And it’s like Weird Al with music, it shows you “made it” to be relevant enough (good or bad) to be mocked in South Park
"Matt's my friend 😄" LMAO
"matts my fren :]" why is that so funny yet cute at the same time
2:00 did Trey just do an improv impression of the interviewer?
I fucking howled!
Absolutely. Lol.
really cool to hear more from Matt in this interview, could tell he was feelin it!
So true! Trey so often takes the reins, so it was nice to see him sit back and let Matt take the lead.
Trey is the creative visionary chef of the show, Matt handles the more boring (but still important) business and PR side of the show. And does a few voices like Kyle, Kenny, Gerald and Jesus.
I've always thought of them the exact opposite way. Matt seems to be the guy who handles the PR.
@@matthewattaway2675 That's a HELL OF A LOT more pressure on Trey than Matt. All the writing, musical numbers, and directing are on his shoulders. And he has to get it all out there within 6 days. I'm sure Trey has some valuable creative input and inspiration from his team, but he is the nucleus. Matt is happy to sit and enjoy the ride on Trey's wagon, lol.
@@CheerfullyCynical829 From your comments I'm guessing in your mind Trey does everything and Matt's a freeloader. Do you honestly respect Trey's intelligence so little you think he'd work with someone like that for over 20 years or is it possible you're not seeing the whole picture here?
Matt seems like the chillest dude.
He’s totally high, looks like he took ecstasy the night before
2:35 ‘Not without My Anus: a Trey Parker and Matt Stone Story, Staring Tom Hanks and Eddie Murphy’ 😂😂😂😂😂
Please someone make a biopic about these two and make Sean Penn have to play Trey. Please make this happen
This kind of friendship is a real treasure
Interesting. It seems this interview takes place in between the break of Season 9. As many of us know, Trey almost quit the series in the beginning of the 9th season due to being so overwhelmed with all the work they’d been doing. Might explain why he’s so quiet and laid back here haha.
Is that you in the pic?
Yeah. This interview reveals that they obviously overexerted themselves with Team America, so it's perfectly understandable that they'd feel tapped out (especially Trey as the director). Luckily for all of us though, they kept going, and still are going strong even today, more than 15 years later.
Treys been almost quoting South Park for over a decade lol.. it’s really only the last few years that he’s seemed to enjoy his time with the show, lol.
Think this was season 8. Season 8 was when they were doin team America
If they were to win an Oscar they should thank Sean Penn a million times hahaha
YOU sir are a fucking god. oh my god. YES. THIS was the interview I specifically asked you about. holy shit. I don't know how you do it. I've been looking for this interview forever.
@HansCoventrierengemacht I remember you and the shrooms you gave me :)
"The second it doesn't seem good we're gonna quit"
Thank god it never did
They will never have any shortage of material, since they satirize *current events.* South Park will end when Trey Parker becomes an invalid. So it still has many, many years.
@@CheerfullyCynical829 haha you say it like it’s obvious it’s going to happen but just not now
I swear they’re the definition of soulmates
love how many of you guys love these two like i do. love yall, stay safe stay funny
There's very very few people who continue to remain fascinating and keep your attention in and throughout every single interview/public appearance they have...Trey and Matt are most definitely two of those people.
I think South Park is one of the most important shows ever made. And Team America is honestly one of my favourite films. I hope they do another film at some point in the future, even if it's another original work, I have total confidence they could pull it off again.
I fucking love these guys, I could watch them all day.
It’s so heartwarming seeing the two of them just hanging out and making each other laugh. They’ve worked together so long. They are both amazing and talented
I really love their honesty, in such a business where you get in trouble and get tons of shit for saying anything. They don't give a damn and I love it.
i think this is by far my favorite interview w/the both of them LMAO
I thought I might be the biggest Trey & Matt/South Park fan until I came across TheGOODSon’s channel. You’re a god among men, sir, for uploading this kind of rare gold 🙇♂️
I love your profile photo. Stephen Malkmus is legendary

It's good to see there are smart nerds who aren't evil.
These dudes aren’t nerds. They just aren’t. Geeks yes. But absolutely not nerds. Nerds dont have the balls to do acid and wear dresses at the Oscars.
Dude I love their work, but you are an idiot to assume people are good or evil based on short interviews done for business purposes🤣

At 2:19 you can see clearly how Trey's responsible for most of Cartman's lines.
But matts an asshole tho he's just being nice about these questions look up past few episodes who wrote them its matt and u can tell they are meaner 😆
Been waiting for this interview to resurface - many thanks
yess, good stuff. always happy to see more of these two and hear about South Park/other projects. i especially love their banter in this one
thank you for uploading this! one of my favorite interviews of them and I haven't been able to find it in so long. "Matt's my friend" hahaha
Thanks guys for making me laugh since 1997!!! I want that poster in the background!!! Lol
You know you're the man if you can say Jew like that and everyone just has a warm heartfelt laugh.
Best friendships mate. As long as the jokes are without malice and everyone in your friend circle gets it. My friends are of different religion and ethnicity but we rip on each other for shits and giggles. A jew, a muslim, a Roman Catholic, a born again christian, a mormon, a disabled boy, and the most hated asshole in all of town. If you are able to make friends out of people who seem so different from you, it means that these people are your soulmates
@janinebelleestrada7096 bro do you live in south park? You've got one of everybody 😂
I've been looking everywhere for this interview!!! Thanks for uploading ❤
Team America was great, so was the South Park movie and BASEketball
Love this channel, man. Haven't seen this interview.....until now. Thanks!
8:59 “We’re really like a married couple with how much time we spend together”
can fully hear the "derpa durrr" in matt's voice lol
Trey, your Inner Cartman is showing lol
great interview, thanks for the uploads
This was a crazy good find. Bravo OP
I wish Matt & Trey do more interviews like this one now. It was so good!
Matt went to Littleton High. So did Dian Bachar. I got hit by a truck in the crosswalk right next to that school. Good times.
I miss these two so much, I cant wait for more stuff from them
@Emily Von Spears Hey Emily :D lol
He said, “love scene” without even cracking a smile
Wow 9th season.. "We'll probably go a couple more years..." 25 years and strong!! Hell yeah
You’re a legend for uploading these!
They own Casa Bonita
Good interviewer! got some quality stuff out them
Good interview thanks you asked them stuff I wanted to know cheers
Eddie murphy would make a great Trey.
I love how they made that streaming deal around this time and now they're pretty much Billionaires.
Mad Dogs.
And not one personal scandal after getting rich so fast so young!
"probably for a couple more years" - That made me laugh. Love South Park. Hard not to.
9:11
You can see trey look at Matt and tactically say
“I love you too”
omg they're 100% what i would expect them to be and that's terrific
alright matthew
lol i havent seen much of these 2 yet. but its almost as entertaining as watching south park itself, gotta admit that xD
I'm glad that Matt Damon liked the movie. I remember thinking how 'out of nowhere' that shot at him was...
Lol, "MAAATTTTTT DAAAAAAMMMMMMMOOOOOONNNNN"
I still don't get what they are trying to imply, but it's still funny.
It’s because when the puppet was made they thought it looked retarded so they just decided to make the character retarded. I forget where they said it. Pretty funny tho
@@proskater141 hahaha, thanks for the insight. That is pretty funny
@@proskater141 Agreed. I’ve also heard an interview where they say this.
Really good interviewer.
These are the type of guys where, one falls down the other stands watch over him until he picks himself up. That's real men. That's real friends.
"A couple more years" he says 😄
“matt’s my friend :)”
People try so hard to be edgy and different with their personas but these guys are the epitome of edgy, and there will likely be no one to come near how anti-lame Trey Parker and Matt Stone are
Of course Matt Damon wasn’t offended. And he definitely copped the most shit in that movie. Seems like a cool dude.
Trey: Nobody told you to smell it
Eddie Murphy made me laugh hard
Trey Parker & Matt Stone:"Our next project is called getting bored"
Also Trey Parker & Matt Stone: Proceed to make Book of Mormon
great interview
I love how non pretentious these 2 satiracle geniuses are
Interviewer: How long will think the show will air?
Matt: Maybe a couple more years....
15 seasons later....
25
@@41xTEN The interview was in 2005. They were on season 9 at this point. At the time I posted the comment season 25 was not out yet it was on season 24. So it is 15 seasons later. It would 25 if the interview was done when they are on their first season. Which was in 1997.
Trey is like the voice from the old TV!
Get bored, get drunk, living the dream-
Good channel 👍🏼
"You are working on season 9. How long do you think the show will air?"
"We don't know."
WHERE IS SEASON 25 YOU SLACKERS
I would watch a podcast of them directors cut voice overing any movie and it would be the funniest shit ever
i love these guys
Great questions
The most influential and iconic show of the last 20 years.
I fucking love these guys
I can't believe they're on the NINTH season of South Park. That show has gone so long, nine whole seasons god damn
Team America is more relevant today than ever. We NEED a sequel desperately. There is a mountain of material this past year alone.
Didn't know they had been to Stockholm where I live now, and straight after they finished their best work too. Would have been so cool to be walking around in Gamla Stan and bumped into them.
they are frkn hilarious!
Regarding the final comments, and someone who's enjoyed the last few specials, I wonder if the pandemic has been a bit of a blessing for them, creativity-wise.
2:44 I shit you not, I literally said Eddie Murphy. Took a sip of water, heard him say it, and I unleashed all of it on the floor. That shit scared surprised me like crazy.
😂😂😂😂😂
these guys are pretty cool man
He's right, actors suck.
As opposed to Sean Penn, George Clooney thought his portrayal in Team America was hilarious:
“I must say I would've been offended if I wasn't in it.
"Those guys, they're friends of mine. I helped them get their show on the air and was Sparky the gay dog and was in their South Park movie. Part of the fun about being up here is that we get to be objects of that."
"jew" hahaha matt knew it was coming
The big dome, the durk a durk, you thought you got away with it
I fucking love these guys!
This is really Kyle vs Cartbag in the flesh 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome!
